What
to Expect on Your First Visit
Welcome
to New Hampshire Oncology-Hematology, PA, and thank you for choosing
us to provide your care. The medical, professional, and administrative
staffs at NHOH are committed to the delivery of the highest quality
care and service for our patients and their loved ones. We take
that commitment seriously. We hope your experiences with us are
pleasant, professional and as comfortable as possible.
Your
first visit to our office will last from one to two hours. We understand
that your first visit to our office can be stressful, so we want
to make the experience as pleasant as we can. Please bring a complete
list of your medications to this visit. You also will need your
insurance card and a referral from your primary-care provider, if
required by your insurance company. To assist you in understanding
what coverage your insurance might provide, one of our Patient Account
Representatives will review your insurance information with you
at this first visit. She can answer your insurance-related questions
at that time.
Many
patients need to have blood work performed at their first visit
to NHOH. If your physician feels this is necessary, a blood specimen
will be collected when you arrive. Some laboratory tests are run
in our office and results are available to your physician immediately.
Other tests take longer to run; these results will be provided to
you when they are available, or at a follow-up visit.
You
will meet many of us at your first visit. We are here to serve you
and your family. Please let any of us know if you have questions
or if there is anything we can do to make your experience more pleasant.
We
look forward to providing your care.
