Prostate Cancer

Red color connotes government-sponsored trials.
Green color connotes pharmaceutical-sponsored trials.

C9594 – Patients with metastatic prostate cancer are randomly allocated to:

Continuous therapy with Zoladex plus Casodex
or
Intermittent therapy with Zoladex plus Casodex

C99904 – Prostate cancer patients recently treated with radical prostatectomy who are considered at high risk of recurrence are randomly allocated to receive:

Zoladex + Casodex for 2 years
or
Zoladex + Casodex plus 6 cycles of chemotherapy with Mitoxantrone and Prednisone

C90202 – Patients with prostate cancer and bone metastasis that have recently started hormonal therapy or have not begun this therapy are eligible. Patients are randomly allocated to receive :

Zometa (potent bone building medicine)
or
Placebo –these patients will all be offered Zometa at the time that the cancer progresses

C90401 – Men with advanced prostate cancer who have not received chemotherapy are eligible for this trial. Patients are randomly assigned to chemotherapy (Docetaxel + prednisone) with or without bevacizumab(Avastin), a protein that interferes with blood vessel growth.

C70004 – Men with biopsy of prostate that demonstrates precancerous condition (PIN) are eligible. Patients are randomly allocated to receive:

High dose selenium
or
Placebo
